You Never Know What Clay and Wes Will Say!

This summer the boys have been spending a couple of days a week with me. I'd like to share just "some" of the many things they've said.

One day they were acting up a bit and Wes asked, "Are we like two little 'heatherings'?" Wonder where they heard that?

Another day we were eating lunch and Clay told Wes (as Wes was eating bread), "I'm trying to eat healthy here - and bread ain't healthy!"

Granpa named his Camaro "Lightning"; and one day after the boys got in the back of Lightning Clay stated with a smile, "Oh, the sweet smell of Lightning!"

Wes asked me one day if I liked tuna fish. I told him that me and granpa love tuna fish sandwiches. He said he didn't like it; and then asked, "You and granpa 'love' tuna fish?" I told him we didn't actually "love" tuna fish, but we like to eat it. Wes has always liked and used a lot of catsup. After thinking for a moment, with a big grin and such love in his eyes, he told me, "Grama, I love you more than catsup."

And lastly, a few days ago the boys were supposed to be getting their clothes on after going swimming. Wes came out of the bedroom and I asked, "Where is your brother?" He replied, "Oh, he's fiddle-fartin' around in there." It's all I could do to keep from busting out laughing.
